Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and then went on to a three-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. She then went back to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was damaged. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd did not make weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy by using TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round later in the 2nd. When she next faced Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd defeated Evinger during the first round. She also received a performance of the night bonus. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus after both fighters fought a fierce combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds and ended her winning streak. After a short break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
